This is the Japanese band Gorgon. To start, I will say that the music on this EP is absolutely GREAT! It's totally NWOBHM inspired heavy metal like a mix of Iron Maiden, Witchfynde and Angel Witch. The interplay between the guitars and bass is very Iron Maiden-y. But the big flaw with this band is the vocals. The bassist, who obviously can play the bass VERY well, cannot hold a note to save his life. It's some of the worst vocals I've heard. The 1st song is unbearable. The rest are tolerable, but jesus, get a real vocalist.

NWOBHM fanatic followers deliver here a very good retro metal effort!! It's like the band composing after a month of constant listening to the great 80's and totally brainwashed with these influences!!! Which of course it's hella cool!!! But i agree with MIKE's comments about the vocalist! Leaving aside this though the outcome is a must have, for me at least!! MIKE mega thanx for offering it with the great h.q. scans too!!
