In 1996 shortly after Nema released their demo "Mirror of Death", they decided to change name into Gulu Locus.
The line up was basically the same with Cristian "Muccio" Mussari on vocals and bass, Lorenzo "Giustino" Giusti on rhythm guitars, Emanuele Cortese on rhytm guitar and Raffaele Falciai (also playing in local black metallers Midgard) on drums.
At the same time Cristian Mussari and Lorenzo Giusti also played with the first doom metal band from Prato, called Inwardeye and they released a live demo tape recorded at Cencio's Club in 1997 (sooner or later I will post it): in a nice summer day in 1997 they played twice with the two parallel band in a same day, in a public square in the afternoon and at the aforementioned Cencio's Club in the night.
Somehow unactive for bass player's personal problems around 1999-2000, they then released the Chocol-Hate CD album in 2002 but it has a slight different sound while the to founding members and close friends Cristian and Lorenzo kept playing together in many other projects like Stöner Kebab, Ghost Empire and a recent one which can't be told as they want to keep obscure their real identity
