Info:
After falling well short of heightened expectations with their madly inconsistent debut album, 1982's Predator, Bitches Sin underwent yet another radical lineup makeover (with the guitar-playing Toomey brothers cleaning house once again), before attempting to get their career back on track. But doing so was to be further complicated by their recent dismissal from Heavy Metal Records, whose staff the Toomeys had lustily blamed for everything that had gone wrong with their debut. So the band had to make do with financing and releasing 1983's prophetically named No More Chances EP on their own. To their credit, this three-tracker's storming title cut was arguably the best thing Bitches Sin had done since breakthrough single "Strangers on the Shore," and although the subsequent melodic rocker, "Overnight," was neither here no there, steady rolling B-side "Ice Angels" proved to be a classy, well-wrought number, as well. All told, these three tracks alone weren't impressive enough to resurrect the band's career, outright, but at least they managed to keep it on life support for a few more years to come.
