London based NWoBHM/Hard Rock band EAZY MONEY were formed in 1979 by guitarist Jerry Kramskoy & Malta-born vocalist Marc Storace, who had just joined Swiss rockers KROKUS & relocated to the city.
After writing a few songs together, they recruited former NATIONAL FLAG guitarist Gary Brewer, bassist Malcolm Hoskins, and brothers Dave & John Williams, on keyboards & drums respectively.
The band wrote more material together and recorded demos which were sent out to several labels.
Brewer & Hoskins eventually decided to leave and form the more Blues Rock orientated LITTLE SISTER, with Chris Grey taking over the bass duties in Eazy Money.
Brewer would later release the 1988 double A-Side single 'Hellfire Corner/Hard Pushed' as the GARY BREWER BAND, which also featured future members of THUNDER.
Hoskins would go on to play with former JUICY LUICY, SNAFU & WHITESNAKE guitar man MICKY MOODY.
Eazy Money opted not to replace Brewer, leaving Kramskoy as the band's sole guitarist.
Further demos were then recorded with DJ & Heavy Metal Soundhouse founder Neal Kay producing, but the record labels still didn't bite.
Storace was then offered the opportunity to audition for the vacant vocalist spot in AC/DC following Bon Scott's untimely death in February 1980.
Weighing up his options, he declined the offer, and informed his Eazy Money bandmates that he had decided to concentrate 100% on Krokus, who were poised to make an international impact.
Storace's decision, combined with inter-band tensions over the group's musical direction soon forced Eazy Money to to split up.
Shortly thereafter, EMI Records approached them to use one of their songs on the second instalment of their 'Metal For Muthas' NWoBHM compilation series.
Thus, Eazy Money's 'Telephone Man' appeared on the album, 'Metal For Muthas Volume II : Cut Loud', alongside the likes of TRESPASS, XERO, WHITE SPIRIT, DARK STAR & CHEVY.
To add insult to injury, Island Records then also made enquiries about working with the now defunct band, but it was all too late.
Explaining Eazy Money's split, guitarist Jerry Kramskoy says;
"I and the bass player wanted to go more Hard Rock/Metal, but the keyboardist and drummer wanted to be more "artistic".
End result... Marc Storace left for Krokus, and we split up.
Island Records wanted us to reform to do "125" as a single, but too late...we were all scattered by then."
